STB Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereafter the "company") complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all relevant laws, ordinances, and guidelines of the relevant authorities pertaining to the protection of personal information. To this end, the company has established its Declaration for Protection of Personal Information and Policy on the handling of personal information as follows and shall make the best efforts to safeguard personal information and handle and mange personal information in a proper manner.
We recognize that protecting and properly managing personal information is our important social responsibility, and with this recognition, we will handle personal information in compliance with all relevant laws, ordinances and other norms pertaining to the protection of personal information.
We will obtain personal information through legitimate and appropriate means only when necessary in carrying out our business and only to the extent necessary. We will also make the best efforts not to improperly undermine interest of the individual when obtaining personal information from a third party.
We will use such personal information only for the following purposes. We will never use said information for any other purpose. When we change the intended use, we will notify the individual of or publicly announce the intended use after change.

- Providing and improving the company's business and services The company's business and services include: conducting surveys and researches on the real estate markets in and outside Japan and consulting business related thereto; advisory business related to investment decisions based on analysis of the value of real property; advisory business related to investment decisions based on analysis of the value of securities with respect to real estate private funds, domestic and foreign REIT, and other real estate investment products; and business and services associate therewith.
- Providing information regarding the company's business or services.
- Requesting answers to a survey such as real estate transaction survey, and conducting administrative work related to transactions with customers.
- Administration of contracts with customers.
- Execution of contractual and legal rights and obligations to customers.
- Administration for employee recruitments and providing recruitment-related information of the company.
- Human resources management for employees and retirees.
- Responding to various inquiries to the company.
- Providing information to third parties to the extent necessary for the above intended use.
We will establish an appropriate management system in order to prevent leakage or misuse of personal information. Furthermore, when we have a third party handle personal information on our behalf to the extent necessary for the intended use, we will properly supervise and monitor such party to ensure that personal information is securely handled and managed.
In addition to cases where required by law, we sometimes provide our customers' personal information to third parties to the extent necessary for the intended use. However, if so requested by the customer concerned, we will stop providing his/her personal information to any third party.
- The means of provision of personal information include documents, postal mail, telephone, facsimile, Internet, electronic mail and electronic media. When passing personal information, we will pay utmost attention to the secure management of such information.
- Personal information we provide to third parties is limited to the minimum items that are necessary for the intended use such as names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and real estate information.
Upon request of the individual concerned, we disclose, correct, and suspend the use of personal information we hold in accordance with law.
